Jacaru

Australia's finest outwear since 1969

Jacaru is an Australian company specialising in Australian oilskin coats, pants and chaps.

Over thirty years ago, the owners of Jacaru began making quality leather goods on the Gold Coast in Australia.

The directors of the company established a firm foundation and over three generations the company has developed and expanded in its field. Jacaru now dominates the Australian market and is recognised locally and internationally as a manufacturer of apparel which offers quality, affordability and style.

The coats are lightweight, which makes them perfect for everyday wear.

The quality and durability of Jacaru products make them suitable for a diversity of climates and lifestyles

Australian oilskin coats, chaps and pants for Golf, Fishing, Hiking, Camping, Canoeing, Biking, Boating, Gardening, Hunting, Riding, Western and much more.

Marks and scratches
As Jacaru leather products are a natural product from free ranging animals it is natural for there to be range marks and other marks associated with the harsh environment that Australian cattle, sheep and kangaroos live in. Suedes that are taken from the flesh side of the hide have less scratching and marks, but if you want strength and durability full grain leathers are the best.

Colour variation
There may be some colour variation from order to order. This is beyond our control due to tanneries using many different breeds of bovine hides from all over Australia.

How to measure your hat size

Get a soft tape measure or a long strip of strong paper and place it around your head in the position you wear your hat. The tape should be level, in the centre of your forehead and about one quarter of an inch above the top of your ears. it is useful to have someone assist in holding the tape which should be adjusted to a comfortable fit and the measurement taken.
